From Kollimalai Hills to Your Kitchen – The Journey of Our Premium Black Pepper

Our black pepper comes from the scenic and naturally rich Kollimalai Hills in Tamil Nadu, where the air is pure, the soil is fertile, and the farming traditions are passed down through generations. These hills are home to tribal farmers who carefully cultivate pepper vines with great dedication and care β€” ensuring only the best quality reaches you.

🌱 The Growing Cycle of our black pepper:

1. Planting the Pepper Vines

Pepper is grown as a climber around support trees in the hill slopes. The farmers use traditional methods to plant pepper cuttings, usually at the start of the monsoon season.

2. Natural Growth and Maintenance

The vines are grown organically, using natural compost and without chemical fertilizers. The hills’ climate β€” cool mist, frequent rain, and good drainage β€” provides ideal conditions. Farmers manually clear weeds and ensure the vines are healthy.

3. Flowering and Fruiting

After about 2–3 years, the vines start producing pepper spikes. These green spikes gradually turn into mature peppercorns.

4. Harvesting

Once the pepper berries begin to ripen (turning red), they are carefully hand-harvested by local farmers. This usually happens between December and February.

5. Sun-Drying

The harvested peppercorns are sun-dried naturally for 5–7 days. This helps them develop their dark black color, intense aroma, and strong flavor β€” without any artificial drying.

6. Cleaning and Grading

After drying, the pepper is cleaned to remove dust and stems. Then it is graded by size and quality β€” ensuring only the premium-grade pepper is selected for packing.

7. Packing and Storage

The finest pepper is packed in hygienic, moisture-proof packaging that locks in freshness and flavor. No additives. No preservatives.

8. Ready to Use – Fine Spices

From here, it reaches homes, restaurants, and spice lovers across the country and abroad β€” as a fine, natural spice full of aroma, flavor, and health benefits.
